How to pay Bangalore BBMP tax for the year 2017-18

This blog will help you with how to pay BBMP tax for the year 2017-18 online Using Credit card/ Debit card/Net banking


Year after year, BBMP site changes the way we make payment and this time again look and feel has changed, this post is to help others to be able to pay BBMP tax online easily
(this is a very elaborated post and has lot of details and may confuse lot of you, please post your suggestions so that i can refine accordingly)

 What you need?

  •  SAS application number or New PID
  • Details of Owner  (Name, address, Mobile number) and property (Built up area, Rented area, car parking, Zone details, etc)
    • Note: If no change in built-up area or overall structure, system will pull up details based on your previous payment
  • Credit card/Debit card/Netbanking details

Lets start!!!!!


Step 2: Enter Application No or New PID and click on Fetch



















This will pull up Owner name and Ward details from BBMP database, Select Owner name and click on green Confirm button

























Step 3: Will show details as below, now you have to make a decision

If no changes to property: click on Proceed button – Go to step 4 A

If changes to property: Click on check box and then click on Proceed button – Go to Step 4 B

























This will take you to a new window with complete details of owner and property

Step 4 A: No changes to property

in new window, scroll down, System will do the computation based on your previous payments/pending amount/rebate etc and give you total property tax to be paid - Go to step 5




























Step 4 B:

























I have tried to use the update button and Click to edit, but has not worked
Below example

                Year off construction    Tenanted         Self       
Old           2013                               900                    450        
New         2017                               1200                  450


So alternatively
  • Enter new details as shown below and click on add
  • It will look like below
  • Delete the old one

















Click on Proceed to Next Step


Step 5 :

Chose if you want to make Full/First Half/Second Half – option button
Normally you will chose Full, you may chose First or Second half, if you are going to sell the property soon or you want to make partial payment for any reason

Click on check box

               





Do not click on Challan Payment – this will  lock the application and you may not be able to make online payment and have to take challan print out and have to go to bank to pay your tax        
    
     Step 6 : Making payment



















     Once payment is done, you may get an error message

























Do not worry, even tho it shows as Failed, if money is debited from your account, just wait for 2 hours and verify status as shown below

View Payment Status

From home page --> Payment Status tab --> Enter application number and click on Retrive














You will see similar details as shown below, with details of previous payments
Payment transaction indicates it’s still pending clearing (Will turn to Receipt generated within 45 mins usually)
Receipt generated indicates your payment is completed

How to get payment confirmation or receipt

Home page  --> Downloads --> Receipt Print 













Select Assessment year (if you want previous years)
enter application number and click on submit, it will get downloaded as PDF





















 go and pay your BBMP tax for 2017-18 and get 5% rebate for yourself
